Song Of The Day.

(Question sent me a few cds a couple of weeks ago. One was from Ryan Adams, and one was from Wilco, and they were both the first albums for both artists after kicking heroin...so they are both poignant. This song has been nagging at me all day today...and I like sharing my mental mix tapes with my blog friends. So here's this song...)

Either Way

Maybe the sun will shine today
The clouds will blow away
Maybe I won't feel so afraid
I will try to understand
Either way

Maybe you still love me
Maybe you don't
Either you will or your won't
Maybe you just need some time alone
I will try to understand
Everything has its plan
Either way
I'm gonna stay
Right for you

Maybe the sun will shine today
The clouds will roll away
Maybe I won't be so afraid
I will understand
Everything has its plan
Either way

The lyrics sound a lot like what has been on your mind lately. No wonder it speaks to you today.

Things have been rough lately for me, and today the mood has been especially gloomy. Early in the morning a song got stuck in my mind and I posted about it on my blog ("My skin" by Natalie Merchant).

I just read your blog. You have me in tears, I can relate to so many things you are saying and feeling, on both ends. I am an addict, my husband is an addict, both of us are in recovery, he is in prison now. Your writing is wonderful, truly truly wonderful. Keep it up. Thank you so much.

Your blog is so imptortant to so many people. It's cool.

I'm glad you like the CDs.

Yep. It's, like, kind of a big deal.

Hah.

It is a fun thing, though, to have people stroking my ego as a writer. And I never have an editor or a professor poking around and telling me what not to do or say.

I don't want to burst your bubble because you ARE a mighty writer. But I think it is your gargantuan heart that has people hanging outside the gates to your blog. I guess the primo writing does help people see that, though.
