Finally, my house feels right. I'm ecstatic. The floors are beautiful. The dogs go running everywhere and their legs fly out from under them. I have to wipe their feet before they come inside so they don't mess up my pretty floor. It's the best thing ever, ever, ever.I don't know how I lived without my floor. The house is so much more inviting now. I think I'm going to hurry home more often, and keep it cleaner, and take care of things...everything is just so bright and awesome. I can't shut up about it. I've thought of the floors all day and enjoyed them all night.
The beauty of the floors has us both possessed with the need to create more domestic bliss and tranquility. When he got home from work, he started cleaning things...all by himself. Without provocation or bribing.
And we ate dinner at the table, like grown ups. We did our dishes. Now we're going to bed. Everything seems very bright and far away. I can hear his dog walking, click click, on the clean floors. My dog, the Princess, is already asleep in my spot. It is happy and warm.

I am so happy for you. We recently did the floors in our house too, got a b e a utiful couch and stuff too...
I will tell you, the feeling goes on forever- I never tire of how pretty my downstairs looks (as we have yet to finish the upstairs).

Congrats to you! Leaving the icky past behind and making YOUR house a home is a big step in the right direction.

Uh Ya, when IS the housewarming party? Wouldn't THAT be hilarious to get the likes of all of us together? G-d, it makes me lol just thinking about it.
O.k. so you love your floors. I'm a little disappointed though. I was expecting a post about sleeping on the floor or rolling around naked on the floor -- maybe some pics, etc. ;-)

Good for you. We had our floors redone in February and they do tend to brighten the home. I tend tp prefer carpet in my bedroom and the rec room but it's nice w/o, in the rest of the house. It's nice when the things, such as this, can bring you joy.
